Medical Services - PPP

Pearly penile papules (PPP) are small, common bumps that occur around the rim or corona of the penis. PPP are commonly mistaken for warts. Although they are not sexually transmitted and are harmless, they can cause quite a bit of embarrassment and psychological distress to affected men. PPP occur more commonly in uncircumcised men but also occur in circumcised men. Many men do not know whom to turn to for treatment of this condition.

Dr. Richard Ort has extensive experience treating pearly penile papules for patients in Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Denver, and throughout Colorado. He prefers to use the Ellman Surgitron®, an advanced radiofrequency technology. This surgical tool, combined with a delicate touch, enables Dr. Ort to remove PPP in a precise and controlled manner without heating or injuring the skin. Patients have minimal pain and recovery is rapid. While treatment can be repeated if needed, most patients see significant improvement after just one treatment session.

If you or a loved one suffer from pearly penile papules, rest assured that a) you are not alone, and b) treatment is available in a professional, compassionate environment. If you choose to come in for this condition, we will evaluate the area and provide treatment recommendations but will respect your dignity and privacy.
