Any individual, infant to adult, can develop a rash. The skin is the largest organ of the body, and sometimes a medical condition will manifest itself on your skin. There are many causes of rashes, ranging from eczema to allergic reactions to drug eruptions. The providers at Dermatology and Laser Institute specialize in the evaluation of rashes and their causes. Sometimes we have to play "detective" to try to determine the specific cause of a rash. Rashes can be due to allergic reactions to a substance that has come into contact with our skin. We are one of the few centers in Denver to offer comprehensive skin patch testing to help uncover any hidden allergies which may be causing a rash.
