Dr. Ort
Richard J. Ort, M.D., Diplomat American Board of Dermatology, is the founder and medical director of Dermatology & Laser Institute of Colorado, P.C., the largest and most comprehensive aesthetic laser center in metro Denver.
He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University where he earned his bachelor's degree and graduated with his medical degree from Columbia University. He held an internship in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and did his residency in dermatology at Emory University. He completed his fellowship in laser, cosmetic and Mohs surgery at Harvard University. Dr. Ort currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at University of Colorado and supervises a monthly surgery clinic at the Denver VA Medical Center.
He was voted "Best of the Best Dermatologists" by the Community Newspapers and he is a member of the following professional societies:

Dr. Ort is an expert on all aspects of laser surgery involving the skin and is published extensively on this topic as well as presenting studies at national laser meetings. He specializes in laser treatment of blood vessels, spider veins, port wine stains, acne, rosacea, pigmented (brown) lesions, actinic keratoses (precancers), tattoos, scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and hair removal. Dr. Ort is recognized by his peers as a leader in laser surgery and provides laser training to other physicians.
Additionally he specializes in the evaluation and treatment of all conditions involving the skin, including acne, acne scars, eczema, psoriasis, moles, skin cancers, warts and rashes. With a special interest and passion for skin surgery, Dr. Ort is also trained in Mohs micrographic surgery for the advanced treatment of skin cancer.
He is an expert in the use of Botox to reduce lines and wrinkles on the face. He also has advanced skills in the use of cosmetic fillers including Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse and Sculptra to soften facial wrinkles and scars and to restore volume loss. As a member of the prestigious Botox National Education Faculty, Dr. Ort trains other physicians in the use of Botox and fillers.
He is a fourth generation physician, a native of New Jersey, and speaks Czech fluently. He is married and has two children.
