Medspas vs. Dermatologists. What’s the Difference?

You may be wondering- should you go to a medspa or a dermatologist for your skin or laser treatment?  Medspas may offer a relaxing environment, but this should not be your focus.  Rather, you should think about who you would trust to treat you or a loved one.  Who will be firing that powerful laser at your skin?  Who will be sticking that needle into your skin?  Who will be available to treat you if there is a complication?  Many medspas have a “medical director” who lacks dermatology training and who is not even physically on-site. Dermatologists are the true experts in both skin health and disease.  We take pride in offering state-of-the art laser treatments in a closely supervised, professional environment.  And our number one priority is patient safety.  We take the Hippocratic Oath to heart- first do no harm!
